Roundtable Leaders


Director of Red Oak Writing, Kim Suhr, MFA is the author of Nothing to Lose (Cornerstone Press, 2018) and Maybe I’ll Learn: Snapshots of a Novice Mom. Her work has appeared in various journals including Rosebud, Midwest Review, and Stonecoast Review as well as earning awards from Wisconsin Academy of Sciences, Arts & Letters, the Wisconsin Writers’ Association. She has presented at local, regional, and national writers’ conferences, including AWP and The Examined Life Conference. Pam Parker, MFA is happy to return to leading Roundtables for Red Oak. Pam’s fiction and nonfiction have appeared in numerous journals, anthologies, and national/international newspapers. With Kathy Lanzarotti, she edited the anthology, Done Darkness: A collection of stories, poetry, and essays about life beyond sadness. Her writing often dwells in the areas of grief, surviving cancer, mental health issues, and the dignity found in the fabric of family. Her writing and oral essays have earned recognitions from the WI Broadcasters Association, the WI Academy of Arts, Sciences & Letters, the WI Writers Association, and the Stories Through the Ages: Baby Boomers Plus Contest.
