Through the generosity of our founder, Judy Bridges, one high school writer will be awarded a $250 scholarship to offset tuition for Creative Writing Camp. The Judy “Redbird” Bridges Merit Award will be granted based upon the young writer’s enthusiasm for writing and strength in the craft.
Those interested in applying for the scholarship, should email the (2) following materials

SUBJECT: Scholarship Application: (Applicant’s Last Name)
1.) An email letter written by the applicant detailing why s/he would like to attend Creative Writing Camp and what s/he hopes to contribute to and gain from the experience. MAXIMUM: 300 words
2.) A writing sample in the writer’s preferred genre that reflects his/her best original work.
MAXIMUM: 500 words of prose (excerpts are okay) or 3 poems (no more than 100 lines total)
Materials must be received by May 1.
The recipient will be notified by June 1.
**Please note: application for the scholarship does not automatically hold a space at Creative Writing Camp.
